As the title suggests, what do you do to keep yourself invisible? The church and many others including the political spectrum have been persecuting witchcraft to this present day. In what ways do you practise invisibility to maintain what you have created? Or what do you do to just not get noticed ? I prefer to lay low and bring attention to myself. I wear dark colours I pray to the divine to keep me from peering eyes. It usually works unless I forget to pray before I leave the house. The golden dawn system is interesting though I don’t practise ceremonial magic myself. Damion Echol says to meditate and invision a black egg around you. I’ve tried this but not sure if it works. The book invisibility by Steve Richard’s is good but dated. Is there any new ways of being invisible ? What do you do?
I had to chuckle, claiming to be a JW often makes people avoid you, which isn't the same as being invisible, but it works. When I was younger, I would actively tell people future events, what they were thinking, who's calling on the phone, and a number of other things I thought were 'cool' expressions of my version of reality. They end up fearing and avoiding you, so that would be 'how to lose friends and alienate people 101'. I assume that when the witch burning starts, I'm likely one of the first to be dragged off.
People think that these things are cool until they are face-to-face with it, then it usually frightens and confuses them. A ton of unanswered questions send them spiraling. Then they all want you to prove it, over and over. People are exhausting.
There are methods that involve 'magic' in my world, but not the same as waving a wand or invoking things, or practicing the begging/demanding/commanding methods that involve entities that may or may not help.
As a dream walker, there is what I call the dream blanket. A dream blanket can be tossed over someone else, or on yourself. It isn't invisibility, but I assume someone with more talent might be able to pull that off. A dream blanket is projected altered perception. Everyone awake and operating from the ego consciousness usually has the same basic visual input, which is then judged and filtered, and presented to consciousness. It doesn't usually contain much detail, and it fills in the lazy perception gaps with placeholder content that may, or may not be, reality. People also sense the world with feelers, or sensors and just integrate that into the final picture. They may say someone has 'an air' of confidence, a 'vibe', or may notice nothing at all about you or others. Like when you ask if so-and-so was at some party, and people can't really recall if they were or not. They are invisible because people don't want anything from them, so they aren't sexually interesting, or entertaining, or odd, or anything.
Anyway, building on that knowledge, you have to capture someone's attention for them to notice you. The particulars about how you dress, how you walk, how you talk, what you drive, and your 'vibe' are all involved in that attention. If you remain neutral, people rarely pay attention to you. If you portray something positive, they pay attention. If you portray something negative, or a threat, they notice you even more. If you speak, they notice you.
The dream blanket is reaching out with your altered state of mind to draw attention to something else, or everything else, or everyone else, but yourself. It is making everything else more threatening or interesting than you are. For me, this is hyper-vigilance, a form of walking trance I share with them. I will perceive everything around me in explicit detail and awe, and radiate this out into the field of perception of those around me by creating a mental and emotional vortex blanket. You could likely do the same thing by concentrating on a paranoid threat, where you generate that feeling that something close by is threatening, and everyone around you starts looking everywhere else for that threat they can now feel. Fear is the easy and low-hanging fruit.
It takes some practice to generate a false narrative blanket that you feel, and you have to believe in it. It comes from the creative part of yourself, the visualization and feeling part, and then the ability to externalize or project that into the environment with enough gusto to make it real to others.
Anyone with a pet that has watched Cesar Millan understands the 'vibe' or 'energy' that even animals pick up on. It is this same function, just with a little more creative functionality.
So, likely not that different from some of the glamor spells/practices. The difference is that you have to be capable of sustained walking trance states and expanding your inner narrative to an outer narrative.
When someone notices your effort, the comments are hilarious... "Are you constipated?" was one of the better ones.
